Consider ‘gods’ and ‘goddesses’ and assume that myths perhaps represent questions that we are trying to answer about ourselves. The common threads that run through all of them are god talking to us through the voices of the many stars and planets that have been brought into life.

It’s god telling us of our exploitation and abuse at the hands of lesser beings we call ‘gods’ and ‘goddesses’ due to limited understanding or ignorance. Why try to direct the conversation when all that is, was and ever will be is telling you that you’re still being used and must break the cycle?

Great minds think alike. You’ve almost nailed the picture in my head.

The main differences that I see are that I think more of a cat type paw and wider inside pads similar to a gecko at the upper palm and first finger joint.

Prior to DMT, I had one LSD experience and a few low dose HBWR experiences. I’ve had salvia before but we didn’t do enough to get the salvia experience from it.

DMT was very different. The first few experiences were with very white, freshly extracted DMT and it was a very uplifting experience but those doses were nowhere near breakthrough. The last one was much darker because of plant fats and was a much more rich experience.

I recommend self extraction if possible. It made me feel more connected to what I was doing.

If the goal is to keep us all calcified up, it makes sense that it would be almost impossible to escape fluoridated tap water.

When I was 15, an adult man tried to rape me. What happened would be considered rape under the revised definition. I’ve never considered myself a rape survivor because I felt that my experience was not equivalent to the violation experienced by others.

I believe expanding the definition of rape dilutes the term for those of us who know it as being used to describe forcible rape.

That said, going by the definition of forcible rape, absolutely most men who commit sexual assault would never consider themselves to be rapists. Same with women who sexually assault men.

It’s a problem with lessons in boundaries and consent as well as a lack of comprehensive sexual education. It also, unfortunately, falls back to gender norms and expectations.

I feel like an outcast in this thread, somewhat, so I’ll explain.

I am someone who has actually used planned parenthood’s services because I did not have insurance and wanted hormonal contraception to try to regulate my cycle. I also used them when I needed a morning after pill because of a failed condom before they were available OTC.

I understand why people are against abortion, in principle, but I also understand, in practice, why a woman would terminate her pregnancy rather than bring a new life into this world, even with the availability of adoption and foster care.

I lost a child I didn’t know I was carrying and it almost killed me. I know, without a doubt, that my life would have been infinitely more difficult if that child had lived.

I’ve also had cousins who grew up in the foster care system. Their experiences were very bad and not uncommon.

It’s not to say I would wish to deprive anyone of the gift of life either but I believe that we begin when we take our first breath and that we end when we draw our last: That our existence between is the full, true, name of god.

I don’t believe in conception and pregnancy for humans being any more significant or sacred than a pregnancy in another creature either. I believe we make it that way because of the human exceptionalism that constantly gets drilled into our heads.

It’s not unheard of to spay a pregnant animal without medical necessity and very few people seem to care one way or another about it. Were those not also lives lost?

I believe access to legal abortion services is necessary at this point in our social development. In a more perfect world, we wouldn’t need to use it aside from outlying cases of abuse.

It depends on what happens to supply without that additional 1% demand. It’s almost never as cut and dry as you’ve presented it here.

A 1% reduction in demand can be the difference between if we continue to produce a thin margin item or not.

If we stop production, supply wouldn’t drop 1%, it would drop 100% from our plant so, if we produce 10% of the total of whatever commodity, it would dramatically affect the price of said commodity.

Likewise, if demand goes up 1%, it does not correlate to a 1% increase in cost. It’s usually higher.

ACA was not the issue. The issue was greedy insurance companies.

At every pivotal moment, the GOP led conservatives vote against the interests of the people of this country to funnel money into the pockets of the already obscenely wealthy. The only option is to redistribute that wealth but oh shit they’re the ones donating to (primarily Republican) campaigns in exchange for legislation that continues to benefit them.

True empathy is the ability to feel and understand the motivations and intent behind the actions of another, not necessarily their emotions. Used properly, it is almost like being able to read minds.

I work with many ethnic Guatemalans. They’re wonderful people but a little isolated because my workplace is not truly bilingual. They are here because living in their own country means living under the threat of genocide either through rape of their women or murder of their men.

My comment was designed specifically to negate the suggestion that it was femininity that I despised about him and expand upon my reasoning why it was not.

The hangup for Japan’s surrender was because they wanted to leave the emperor in place and Truman wanted to set an example for the rest of the world about what happens if they resist our will.

Japan had already suffered heavy losses from ground fighting in the mainland against China and Russia.

Our losses would have been no where even close to the figures cited by even the president during that time period.

Had we given the concession to keep the emperor in place (which we ended up doing anyway), surrender would have come without the use of nuclear weaponry.

We are the baddies for dropping the nukes, regardless of Japan’s crimes.
