There are worse fates. That's not so bad in the grand scheme of things.

You limit yourself if you think in terms of only extraterrestrial aliens. There are also extradimensional/temporal aliens, and all the crazy life already on this planet. Not to mention all the other entities crawling all over it. This planet is crowded.

You think of humans as bunnies? Hardly. They are more akin to wolfogs. Caught in between their past as a proud predator and the breeding that is slowly domesticating then. It remains to be seen whether the wolf or the dog will win out. But personally I'm rooting for the wolf.

For those who thought we were little better than animals, it will be a shock to see what they have done to an advancing world such as ours in the name of profit.

The ones who did this to our world were well aware of the intelligence of humans and the consequences of their actions. I highly doubt this will change things sadly, any more than a Syrian child's letter to Congress will fix their broken country and stop those who wish to exploit it. Plus, the conflict here is merely part of a larger war sadly. Such is the way of politics.

I wish I had your confidence in Reptilliandude. However, whether his depiction of aliens is true or not, I am aware that his story is merely a different face/description of all the others out there in relation to the action behind the scenes. Different characters and genre, same plot and themes. Over and over again. If I glimpse enough of them, and put my calling card out there enough, maybe I'll get lucky and put the pieces together with what I can remember/intuit.

I am hopeful that those species who have a conscience will disavow this Consortium and demand our release.

Rebellion is another option of course. Humans are stronger than they think. And they have allies who would assist them in this as well. Plus, it would surely shake the heavens a good bit, which is something I'm all for.

It is my understanding that we have allies our there, somewhere. I pray they come forward.

There are many who have invested their lives/profession on this planet/watching over humans. Though I must admit a lot of them have a crap time, so it's difficult for them to survive, much less provide assistance, with things being as they are.

I really didn't know there was such a deficit of philosophy and biology courses wherever you're from though. Humans have already explored such concepts for thousands of years. I mean, it's a natural part of this universe, the child turning on its parent (and much of a child's bad habits come from its parents). Please tell me you're not one of those people who think the natural laws of the universe are “wrong”.

From what I was reading in other threads, humans whooped your butts in matters of war so badly, you decided to build a quarantine around their planet in the hopes that they would stay there and rot. You know, I can't help but be reminded of Prometheus with this thread. Scientists are offering humanity a piece of technology that could be used to take us to greater heights. Sure there's the possibility that it will be used for wrong, but I place no more trust in the hands of the "oh so noble" Consortium. Look at how Reptilliandude wants us to realease the vultures on such scientists (just like poor Prometheus) for daring to provide the "lesser beings" with their own version of fire, as it was in the old tale.

Because the Consortium will not allow the irreversible contamination of product.

I know a lot of people on here are very much against the idea of the Harvest/Reboot, but from what I understand certain elements may support it for reasons other than simply being malicious and that may even be beneficial to humanity in the long run. Personally it's my understanding that not all humans will die, just most of them. That being said, it should also be noted that certain people are all for preventing it for non-benevolent reasons.

Yeah. Don't you and I know it. I just envy ReptilianDude his ability to remember. Being an amnesiac is not fun. I'd probably question my sanity more if I hadn't seen/done certian things that assured me this is all at least somewhat real.

I'm probably only alive because I know/can do something that's too important to have me killed, though there has been one preemptive attempt on my life already. All I remember is my purpose here had something to do with what you guys call the reboot/Harvest, but given certain politics I'll limit what I say on that.

Basically I was an individual responsible for directly monitoring this planet and guiding some of the people on it (probaly before the quarantine seeing as I've been watching over this place a long freaking time- think like 2,000-3,000+ years). Previously I was filtering that through an esoteric lense to mean I might have been a sport/deity or something, but if what ReptilianDude says is true, it would still jive with my memories.

At some point I quit my job after doing something that really threw a wrench in certian people's plans for this world having grown disillusioned with the way things were going. This caught a lot of people off guard, and I was thrown into the slammer as a sabatuer/possible whistleblower in the hopes of eventually getting me back on their side. What they didn't expect was that I had the skill set to get out of said prison.

Looking through it esoterically I interpreted it as me being incarnated but it would make sense given the context of things that it might be Droptech. The reason I say it likely failed is because my memories didn't get completely ported, which would make sense seeing as I used it as part of an unauthorized rush job.

So essentially I've been living as an amnesiac for most of my life trying to integrate into human society with certian nonhuman attributes and abilities making that integration difficult which in turn led me to repress that side of myself until recently.

There's probaly something I'm leaving out because I remember something about a genetic lineage being super duper important similar to what ReptilianDude was saying with said linage possibly being connected to the Rh- thing (although don't quote me on that).

There's a lot more to the story than that but that's the general gist of how I got here.
