Church is where those of us who believe I the One go to find community away from the harsh world of viciousness. We want to learn truth. The real truth of love and goodness. And we want that type of community to raise our children in. We just joined a church (not the one I spoke of before) specifically for the socialization of our children. But I grew up in a church where the sting of gossip of the main social group of women was very hurtful to my family at that time. We were judged harshly for the problems we faced as a family. We were not in the 'in' crowd for sure.
