Science fiction writers love to use clones, artificially created beings and overwritten beings in their stories. They make it look simple, even a valid alternative. But the truth of how humans are cloned for use by aliens is actually horrifying, painful and sociopathic. Let's review each false presumption we have made about cloning.
Cloning is creating a life from one ancestor asexually, so they are genetically identical. Even the definition is wrong, because clones are lesser copies of the original, and contain genetic errors. There are many reasons cloning humans is outlawed throughout the world. But aliens do it anyway, because they consider us product.
If a clone is sought, it cannot be artificially grown at an advanced rate. You won't end up with an adult in a year, for example, because if you do, the clone will continue to rapidly age and die quickly too, like dog years. It's not like the movie "The Island" where naive adults just "born" enjoy life together before being summoned. Fast replacement is out. Your choices are birth and raising the clone as you would any baby who has life, or keeping the clone in a drug induced coma as it slowly grows. Any new human life, even a clone, is born with a soul and a birth right. Their body belongs to them, or it should.
For aliens, the point of human cloning is to provide genetic material for transfer to the original host, or to replace the original host, neither of which take into consideration the rights of clones. They consider clones their posessions, just as they do the humans they overwrite to begin with. They use clones to allow them to live on and overwrite a duplicate body they are already compatible and familiar with, or to support the body they are currently in.
The Kayeen prefer to keep clones anesthetized until ready for use. That means taking a sweet newborn clone baby and inserting it into a vat of gooey brine, and sticking a needle into the arm or leg to knock the baby out.
But that's not all! Next, air is pumped into the lungs with a breathing machine like anyone in a coma. Someone must supervise this clone for YEARS. Imagine a room full of clones in vats, naked, visible, altered and confined. What a nightmare.
Then there is the need for digestion, which means lots more tubes. There is a tube to the stomach feeding nutritious slop of some kind, food with water. There is a tube in the urethra for urine, and another fat tube shoved up the anus for waste. They don't want the briney goo contaminated, don't you know. Most likely, hair is shaven for cleanliness too.
Why not put them in beds to sleep their lives away until summoned? The reason is the need to work out muscles. If a heart is never pushed to work hard, it atrophies. The same for arms and legs and backs, and every single muscle of the body. How to work them out while the clone sleeps? Electrical stimulation is used, for every muscle of the clone's body. They spend years being jolted, writhing in painful spasms, so that by the time the Kayeen is ready to overwrite them, their bodies will function.
It's not the pretty little sacs of naked girls sleeping serenely like in Resident Evil. It's not even like the pod Neo woke from in The Matrix where their minds have a shared reality to keep them entertained. Bodies aren't created into adults with no mind or soul, ready to be overwritten as they sleep peacefully like in Avatar either. That movie makes me particularly angry because they make the scientists OVERWRITING a sentient species into the heroes. As if an engineered hybrid being could have no mind or soul! Anyway, had any of these characters been rescued under those sci fi conditions, they would never have been able to walk, much less fight.
Imagine if your job was to care for vats of clone humans. You would replace tubes, stab new injection sites, feed them slop and dump out their waste. You'd see a room full of gyrating, spasming people, eyes opened widely from the painful electrical shocks that never end, not able to wake fully from an artificially induced coma. If there is hell on Earth, this is it.
Here's a typical scenario.. A Kayeen who overwrote an original human has lived the full life of the body he stole, yet he wants to keep living. He must disconnect from the old human man, wake briefly in his original Kayeen body, then prepare to overwrite the clone. The Kayeen body, also in a vat, is weak. The old human dies as Kayeen scientists race to disconnect the Kayeen attached. He wakes in his own decrepit Kayeen body screaming, "Put me back in! Put me back in!"
Meanwhile, the clone is prepared. He is cleaned of the goo. All the tubes, electrodes, and needles are removed. He breathes on his own for the first time since he was an infant. Still sedated, the Kayeen scientists begin to load the memories and mind of the ancient Kayeen into the clone. And then the clone finally wakes. Only his body has been stolen from him. He has been overwritten by the ancient Kayeen who refuses to die.
This is what they do. They make and wear clones like clothing. Their other alternative is to overwrite their children and grandchildren, stealing the lives of new generations so the ancient aliens can avoid death a little longer. Neither choice is a moral one. Neither choice is acceptable.
If the clone's journey is to provide replacement body parts, the clone is operated on and dies afterward, never having truly lived at all.
Cloning and overwriting are acts of extreme violence against humanity. There is no free will. Bodies are stolen, minds comatized, souls held in abeyance. It is worse than death and includes such a detachment as to render sentient people as nothing more than genetic product puppeted by an outsider. It must end!
