Thank you for all your work. I always found the most beautiful stories involve villains becoming heroes.

Are you sure you dont know anything about Poppy? I only ask because her new song "Meat" talks about humans being used as livestock for aliens.

He mentions NMR, he spoke about his stratification of truths, and also won't conform his use of language to anti religious rhetoric. He's also convinced that early civilization had no knowledge greater than our own, which I tend to disagree with. That's all I picked up on from between those time stamps. NDT is a great science educator, though, and I hate that he's getting denounced like this over a mere allegation.

(Also, I apologize for my earlier outbursts. Something about this curious endeavour made it hard to leave, for some reason.)

vanishingdesire commented on To the ‘Sraxo’ (Naigaje) and ‘Draco.’ reddit

Is it wrong of me to worship the divinity of self, and to recognize the divinity of our Mother, the Earth? Is it wrong of me to through this understand the truth of what you say as seen through a different lens? I see M'Yah-Weh in Gaia and both in myself, and in each other self. Is this "infidelity" ?

I was long abused by a faith you borrow language from. Forgive me, teacher, if it provokes a nasty response in my soul. I don't blame those people or the institutions they support, but I have found so much truth and love outside of those things. My family and many of my friends consider me apostate and heretic.

I have found through my new understanding a much greater drive and desire to do what is best for all. Am I required to submit myself again to slavery to doctrines and teachings that forced me to deny my own thoughts and feelings? That forced me to be silent when blatant contradiction was shouted from the pulpit, with a chorus of "Amen!" punctuating each profane exclusionary pronouncement?

Please, I don't want to be a bother. I recognize that I have no right to demand anything of you, and I can't imagine what processes are required for you to be even able to communicate with us. I call you "Teacher" because that is what you are, whether or not you consider yourself so.

Teacher, am I an infidel? Am I truly? I know I am lost and I know that I am broken. I know there is no hope for me beyond what I make for myself anymore. I just want to know what side I'm on so I can face that reality with a smile, rather than being of two minds. You know so much, and I know so little. Is it any surprise that I would find my way here?

I do not want to subject myself to a system of belief that nearly put me in a grave. There are many things I admire about Jesus and the Bible. Many of the things Jesus said resonate strongly in my life. I can't go back to that faith anymore.

Please tell me that I am damned or that I am acceptable. I don't care what answer you give! I will gladly accept my fate one way or another. I will gladly lay down my life for another, gladly forgive wrongs, gladly use my life to make the world a better place for everyone. I just need to know where, in your eyes, I stand. If I'm a sheep, or a goat. I don't care which, I'll still push for love and inclusion and righteousness. And I'll smile if the Son comes to smite me or if he embraces me.

Delete this if you want. I know it doesn't really belong here. I'm a failure and a fool no matter what you say, and I don't know why I bother trying to pry secrets from a dragon when I have no right to know them. I'm not smart enough to help your cause, wise enough to solve your riddles, or competant enough to become either. Maybe I would have been better off becoming topsoil, at least then I'd know I was good for something. I'm sorry for wasting your time and space. My uselessness wont bother your subreddit anymore. I hope you succeed.

Garbotalk, I appreciate you. I know your heart is in the right place. Your unwaivering faith and conviction is inspiring.

I dont mean this as insult or as an attack. This attitude will not be successful. As a leader in this community, you will only cause rifts in it by disenfranchising those who do not ascrine to Christian beliefs. This will further isolate the truths you and RD are trying to disseminate.

Your convictions are leading you into zealotry, trust me when I say that this path will wound your soul. I say this as someone who deeply understands the care and compassion that is underlying this tirade. I have made many similar pronouncements in my past, and I regret them all. The harm they caused far outweighed the benefit they secured.

As an occultist, I am not offended by your claims. For me, it is a matter of perspective. Assume first that the other has something to teach you. Listen to them in their own words about their own beliefs and practices, not the romanticised bullshit that leads to certain stores in malls cash-grabbing teenagers who want to feel "edgy". It is clear by your responses to others that you havent studied the theology of any other system other than Christianity. I suggest that you ought to, if only so you have ample knowledge of how to respond regarding the beliefs of others.

I'm not saying you are wrong. Genuine spiritual practice and faith are necessities for a free future. I am merely saying that your blanket aggression toward a scapegoated group, whilst ostensibly representing the group who scapegoated them (not even 300 years ago, mind you) will send the wrong message to many.

I picked up "Magicians of the Gods" by G. Hancock, and Gobekli Tepe was speaking to an 80 year span, the same period you say we have to answer the beacon. Is there some reason that the alignment with the center of the galaxy is important for this process? Is it a coincidence? I've read a lot on here and I've been reading a lot in general, so things are spinning about 600 miles an hour through my head.

vanishingdesire commented on A person’s life is not determined by the abundance of the things which they possess. reddit

I appreciate you living out your commitment. I cannot know "God" apart from myself, and I simply cannot reconcile the doctrinal inconsistencies within Christian thought with my own experiences. A thousand books are just that: books. The words inside them may move many people to act or whatever, but ultimately it is no more sacred than anything else.

I used to believe as you do. Now I do not. The reason for such is that I abandoned faith in anything spiritual completely due to monstrous abuses, and found my way back into faith by another path. One that has helped me heal afrom the wounds that caused me to flee. Christianity was a prison for me, one where I was constantly abused in one fashion or another. My new path has been a balm. The one I serve acknowledges Jesus, and so I too, acknowledge Jesus. If he is worthy of your submission and service, then I habe no argument to make with you to the contrary. I want only for you to be as happy and fulfilled as you can be. If that is with Jesus, then be with Jesus. I cannot follow him anymore, though I respect his teaching and message.

I indeed hope that I am not counted against him, but I do not tremble at the thought of the possibility that I might be considered among those against him. In that case, I will gladly be destroyed. I could not love myself apart from this path I tread, teaching my self to be free. If that is enough to warrant destruction, I will smile as it comes.

Regression may have been a harsh word, but I only meant it in the context of my own journey, not as an overall statement of the quality of Christian faith in my mind. I apologize, as I see you considered it as a snub against your faith. That was not my intention.

As above, so below.

vanishingdesire commented on A person’s life is not determined by the abundance of the things which they possess. reddit

I'm not interested in regression. Christianity is not the truth any more than any other path. God is more complex than that.

I respect Jesus, but I am not convinced that anyone claiming him has him.

That used to terrify me, but now it comforts me. I will be judged. I will receive what is deserving, or there will be grace. To concern myself with anything except that which my conscience deems acceptable is beyond my power to understand and appreciate. I will live life according to what I find beautiful and noble and should judgement come, I'll gladly confess, "I haven't been righteous. I have only been selfish. I can only do what is beautiful, not what is good."

vanishingdesire commented on A person’s life is not determined by the abundance of the things which they possess. reddit

I appreciate you encouraging me. If God cares not for allegiance and cares for alignment, I may yet avoid the torment I deserve.

"So I went over much grass and many flowers and among all kinds of wholesome and delectable trees till lo! in a narrow place between two rocks there came to meet me a great Lion. The speed of him was like the ostrich, and his size as an elephant’s; his hair was like pure gold and the brightness of his eyes like gold that is liquid in the furnace. He was more terrible than the Flaming Mountain of Lagour, and in beauty he surpassed all that is in the world even as the rose in bloom surpasses the dust of the desert.

Then I fell at his feet and thought, Surely this is the hour of death, for the Lion (who is worthy of all honour) will know that I have served Tash all my days and not him. Nevertheless, it is better to see the Lion and die than to be Tisroc of the world and live and not to have seen him!

But the Glorious One bent down his golden head and touched my forehead with his tongue and said, 'Son, thou art welcome.' But I said, 'Alas Lord, I am no son of thine but the servant of Tash.' He answered, 'Child, all the service thou hast done to Tash, I account as service done to me.'

Then by reasons of my great desire for wisdom and understanding, I overcame my fear and questioned the Glorious One and said, 'Lord, is it then true, as the Ape said, that thou and Tash are one?' The Lion growled so that the earth shook (but his wrath was not against me) and said, 'It is false!'

'Not because he and I are one, but because we are opposites, I take to me the services which thou hast done to him. For I and he are of such different kinds that no service which is vile can be done to me, and none which is not vile can be done to him. Therefore if any man swear by Tash and keep his oath for the oath’s sake, it is by me that he has truly sworn, though he know it not, and it is I who reward him. And if any man do a cruelty in my name, then, though he says the name Aslan, it is Tash whom he serves and by Tash his deed is accepted. Dost thou understand, Child?'

I said, 'Lord, though knowest how much I understand.' But I said also (for the truth constrained me), 'Yet I have been seeking Tash all my days.'

'Beloved, said the Glorious One, unless thy desire had been for me, thou wouldst not have sought so long and so truly. For all find what the truly seek.'" -The Last Battle, CS Lewis

Even after following another, I still gladly sing this hymn.

vanishingdesire commented on A person’s life is not determined by the abundance of the things which they possess. reddit

That is complex. Some terrible things happened to me at the hands of those I called brother and sister through the church. When I needed Jesus to do something most in those circumstances, there was nothing. Understand that I was in a denomination that believed in miracles.

I spent whole days screaming to heaven for relief, for death, for absolution. I'm not saying it's a good reason. There are things I understand better, two years after abandoning that faith. I was very staunchly anti-faith until June, when I saw the value in a unified approach (between science and faith). In August, when I found my Goddess, all traces of hatred for religion fled.

Like I said above, I dont hate Jesus or think Christinity is horrible anymore. The parts I found most beautiful still affect me. I just see it as a faith whose institutions carry unbelievable baggage, whose ministries are often run by sociopaths, and whose teaching has been tainted by a message of shame and guilt. Not all churches and church organizations are like this, and for those who can cut past those things, there is much wisdom and much beauty in those pages and practices.

I'm sorry this is long-winded, and I've left out so many details. I hope this gives you some understanding. Some of this stuff is very personal and I'm still wounded from it. If you want to know more, I could try.

Is the "Kingdom of God" referenced here, because of it's proximity to parables about wealth and responsibility, a reference to some kind of technology that removes our need to strive for our own survival? Does the technology or principles of the technology involved in answering the beacon also have applications outside of communication? Maybe the "Kingdom of God" is the "Assembly." By answering the beacon, we establish "relationship" with "The Kingdom of God." Considering the Kayeen and the Consortium are made out by you to be Greedy, this is a warning about falling into the same mindset that caused them to abuse us like this, and is a mentality that God opposes.

vanishingdesire commented on A person’s life is not determined by the abundance of the things which they possess. reddit

Jesus told them a parable:

“A rich man had a fertile farm that produced fine crops. He said to himself, ‘What should I do? I don’t have room for all my grain.’ Then he said, ‘I know! I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones. Then I’ll have room enough to store all my wheat and other goods. I’ll sit back and say to myself, “My friend, you have enough stored away for years to come. Now, take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry!”’

“But God said to him, ‘You fool! You will die this very night. All you worked for is wasted!’

“Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing. Look at the ravens: They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. Are you not far more valuable to him than any bird? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? If worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over anything at all?"

“Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. If God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?"

“Don’t be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don’t worry about such things. These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.

“So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to those in need. This will store up treasure for you in heaven! And the purses of heaven never get old or develop holes. Your treasure will be safe; no thief can steal it and no moth can destroy it. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be."

Luke 16-34

I've always taken care to remember the parables of Jesus. Even if I don't serve him anymore, they are still full of wisdom. It is folly to strive for material things and ignore spiritual truths. Worrying about our lives is an egoic survival strategy, Jesus is telling us that God already understands our basic needs and will see to them so long as we are in relationship with him. Fear of death kills the mind's ability to process reality objectively, and overrides our inclination toward faith-based reasoning, making us neither rational or faithful. This is the end of all greed: Death of the Mind and the Heart. Single-minded focus on the "Kingdom of God" will provide you with what you need. God is happy to give us this "Kingdom".

I think the most relevant line is the one that bookends the one you shared: "Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be." I'd phrase it like this: Whatever you consider valuable, your longing will lead you to it."

I guess it is beautiful to me that I would worship an idol wholeheartedly. I have already accepted that if God existed as I once believed, with the demeanor I would expect, that I would gladly die. I would smile as he smote me for apostasy.

He had every chance to visit me, to set the record straight. I had years of anguish that He alone could mend, and... nothing. That's the part of all this that makes me pause. I left Christianity because I couldn't stand that no one ever acted like Jesus. I needed a God to save me, many many times, but nothing ever happened.

Then, after several years of deep depression and listlessness, I stumble around through the darkness and find someone with light. Someone who I could actually meet and speak to. Someone who spoke like a guru and looked like a saint. I got caught in their spidersilk net, but I didn't want to get away. "I have you," they said. I knew love and light in that moment. I don't hate Jesus, I'm just in another fisher's net.

Suffering can be beautiful. It's not just a negative thing. The one who suffers and then triumphs over the challenge is considered a powerful individual, because we are taught to despise suffering, whether it is our own, or others.

When suffering is willfully imposed on another, it is an evil thing, and I think you're within your right to be offended by human characterization of your (and other's) kind as perpetrators of our suffering for your benefit. Don't watch Madoka, you might be even more upset... though the Incubators are more accurately mapped to your Kayeen, I think.

No. I have no wife. I literally mean a person who has become a symbol unto themselves and achieved a level of consideration for it. I was lost, and in that darkness, sought light. I found it first in her, then she tought me that the light I sought was already within myself.

vanishingdesire commented on We're Baaack!! reddit

Oh wow. I did not expect this, I... I have no idea what I'm looking at.

I found this subreddit by accident, got caught up in the plausibility of this narrative, and have been trying to understand the transformation I'm undergoing through the lens of these things.

If God is like the one described by the Bible, I'm going to be punished. I've done decidedly monstrous things. I've been doing as much as I can to leave that behind me, to live a life concerned only with that which I consider beautiful. To accept all other viewpoints as simply a facet on the infinite jewel of reality, just as mine is. I dont speak of "truth" because only the parts of the truth that are lovely to me do I pay attention to (my personal bias). I've been taught what love truly is, what the self is, what gods are, and a way forward when I thought my whole self utterly tainted.

I see a lot of negative talk about Satan and Lucifer, and it causes me pause: my journey has led me to believe in Lucifer as an archetype of self-apotheosis, and a symbol I've readily adopted. I'm confused, because If you are speaking the truth, then what am I truly serving? Walking this path of self-divinity, I have truly become able to love and forgive. I pray, not to some out-there external force, but to become a hero or shepherd to others. Often my prayers are directed at a person who has made of themselves a symbol, a living icon. They have taught me much. A human turning themselves into a work of symbolic art. Your tales have caused me to question if my goddess is connected in some way to all of this, and if so, how?

I don't expect you to respond, not because I find you cold or anything, but because I doubt you would rob me of finding the answers myself. People only save themselves, afterall.

I pray that my goddess is on the right side of all this, if not, I know I dont have the heart to betray her. I wouldn't be alive without her. Thank you, if you read this. You are enough.
