I gotta wonder: what's it going to be like when somebody eventually hacks one of these things? When Musk is talking about "conceptual telepathy," it means that these chips will have enough of an interface for somebody to send it a malicious program just like they do with our normal computers.

Who knows, might even be possible to induce hallucinations into people. Perhaps make them think they're just playing DOOM vr at home on Friday night when they're really in a crowded shopping center. That's not even touching on how much it's going to ruin privacy. It takes an expert to make a device even remotely private and secure today. When it's reading all of your thoughts there is no possibility for you to make that thing safe.

The presbyterian church isn't a good metric to judge the size of religious movements by. For example the Jehovah's Witnesses have around six times as many members as the presbyterian church, and Mormonism is around twice as large as the Jehovah's Witness church.

Those two churches tend to be considered the "stranger" of the sects of christianity in the united states, which goes to show that there being more self-proclaimed witches in the US than Presbyterians is more of a statement of the size of the latter rather than the former.
