It's not necessarily celibacy that is being selected for, but loyalty and monogamy. Keep in mind, however, that a mutation leading to an airborne vector would supersede any selection mechanisms through the indiscriminate culling of all that are exposed to the contaminated air.

A butcher does not feel empathy for the meat that it processes. However, this is not to say that a butcher is incapable of empathy. So we have to ask ourselves how a butcher capable of empathy can slaughter an animal. Is it cognitive dissonance and if so what causes it on the part of the butcher? Greed? Gluttony? Pride? Wrath? Perhaps all four. Despite this, Humans continue to support the Butchers in markets the world over. The fact of the matter is that if one can experience empathy for another it is truly tragic when they fail to extend their palms down the ladder to pull others up.

Oh but they are. And that makes what is happening that much more of an abomination.

Empathy is a two-way street.

I suppose my comment comes off somewhat ambiguous. My point is not to ignore the injustice of the present, but rather to make peace with its actuality so that attention may be turned towards the beacon. I am implying that suffering is the nature of mortality, but then so too is pleasure. Both experiences provide context for one another and so their duality exists in unity.

Those lifeforms above Humanity treat it as product? And how do those Humans treat the animals below themselves? This is the reflection of the All that I speak of. I imagine the One presides many layers higher than those among the Consortium. Surely the Human must be considered the toddler and so the Kayeen the child. And indeed the cycle shall continue, this is a trying time for Humanity with the æon of the child upon the horizon. I cannot know the true Identity of the One; I'd like to think that it is one of love, but I assume it is that of indifference.

soon- will come your reckoning. when man, the lowest of all, is given the tools to reign over you-it will be far too late. You smirk with schadenfreude at our misfortune, disparage us for our faults and twiddle your thumbs as we suffer. In our eyes, you are bereft of empathy for those worse off than you and you and yours will pay for the suffering you so richly thought we deserved.

I have spoken words likened unto these to my own kind as well as to those engaged in the pillage and plunder of this world, but to no avail. The Siriv aren't going to want to work for the Kayeen once they see the death they bring to their families and friends. No money is worth that. It will require Kayeen overwriting us to achieve their objectives while we are suffering, meaning the Kayeen in our bodies will suffer too.

You and I are born into suffering, and so too are they. It is the short term pleasures that they enjoy while those that they inhabit suffer the long-term consequences. It is via this long-term effect that the product is eventually deemed expired. But unfortunately by then the hijackers of desire are long gone, free from the actualized suffering that their suggestion of action has wrought. Despite this perceived evil, the serpent merely suggests action; the freedom of will to choose whether to act upon any given suggestion remains firmly within your control - use it with wisdom and understanding.

We are being made to pay for the sins of the Kayeen, and by extension, the Consortium??

Thus is the nature of hierarchy; we can look above or below yet in either case we see only a reflection of the one that is the all. Life is temporary for you and for me and for them, so enjoy the present.

This is great, had a friend show me it after I sent him my track rearrangement. It's funny how you can totally tell the tracks were meant to be in a different order. "Parabola" ends with the intro to "Parabol" despite coming after it in the track listing, for instance. It was that and the fact that the vinyl edition had a different order for "Disposition" that spurred me to rearrange things. Blew my mind to find that this had been going on in the Tool community for years with bootlegs like The Holy Gift.

The union of the microcosmos with the macrocosmos, excellent choice. That is my favorite song of theirs. The album itself is one of the best records I've ever heard. I cannot think of many others that can stand beside it, and I've listened to much in my day. It's meant to be heard in union with "Disposition" and "Reflection" following afterwards. I like to rearrange the track-list in order of the concepts behind the lyrics and those three tracks I can never separate, they are a Triad.

Absolutely, it is content like this found in tool music that sets them apart from other bands. The shadow exists beneath both the super ego that is influenced by society as well as the personal ego. It is for this reason that facing ones shadow sounds much easier on paper than it is in reality. Most go through life having never even confronted their ego let alone their deeper shadow. Forty Six & 2 is found on the album Ænima, an album title which is a bastardization of the Jungian concept of anima (and animus). For all those familiar with Freud's work, I highly recommend the work of Jung. Freudian psychology has been promoted as the absolute truth by the mainstream, while Jung's ideas have fallen to the wayside. Perhaps there is some truth in these ideas that certain ruling families wish to see suppressed.

Look without and look within, tend the spirit if you can, face the shadow and step on through, embrace the coming forty six & 2.
