Again, this is not only cult-like behavior, but to be specific, is actually a conditioned corporate-cult-type behavior.

Corp-Oration

Corpse, Speaking.

Slogan actually means "Battlecry of the Dead"

You all get "branded" with your favorite "Logos".

There's so much depth to your writing, thank You for your beacon of Sanity in this utter lunacy.

TL;DW Ice Cream Machine is only repairable by inhouse maintenance guys. Issue with that? You're looking at an estimated 1k hourly. Issue with that? The archaic design of the machines in question and the fact that the version increases have only further made the designs in question impossible to understand or reason with, forcing you to use the inhouse maintenance guys.

Issue with that? 25% of their total earnings are from maintenance. They have a vested financial interest in not producing a proper product and on top of that, because of the incredibly myopic Laws surrounding property rights and ownership(Which is what your right to repair or have your property repaired deals with), you don't have a choice but to reach out to the vendor who's got you increasingly by the balls.

Worst part? The errors in question are often simple things that if you had any sort of decent seller would be more than happy to design to minimize your 'accidents' and to maximize your profit through the use of the product. The fact that it isn't, tells you all you need to know. To quote Micheal Jackson

"All I wanna say is that They don't really care about Us."

The fact that I'm seeing Louis Rossman here of all places tells me I'm paying attention to the right signs. Thanks my dude.

It's comforting in a sense to know though, that it is not a human trait, but one that other hominids have also succumbed too. It makes it easier to forgive Man when he falls prey to it, easier to try and rouse him into action. In my mind, at least.
