One night I saw some lights I couldn't identify. The following is what I consciously remember. I walked out on the porch to see what it was. I feel as though I was "drawn" to do this. A short distance above the palm trees, I saw a circle, metallic craft. It had windows along the front. I could clearly see several men and women "manning" the craft. They all looked very handsome. They looked like white humans. All dressed in blue. Years later, I came to the conclusion, they were what's know as Nordics. They were smiling at me in a very friendly, welcoming way. The craft was mostly silent. Maybe a very low hum. Red and blue lights emitting from the lower part. The area the "people" were sitting, (a few standing), was well lit. Although I was on my front porch, I felt they wanted me to come closer...The next thing I remember, was waking up in my bottom bunk-bed, with the taste of strawberry ice cream in my mouth, and a mild soreness in my groin are. Upon feeling my scrotum, I had only one testicle. I had two when I went to bed earlier that night. I swear on everything I hold dearly, this is true event that happened to me.

First of all, in our school, there is not a such a thing as a philosophy class, and if there is, it is taught in a form that this person from that period has said these things, which is not philosophy. Basically is the mishmash of ideas presented to students with the hope that someone can differentiate between wordplays and truth. Also, the curriculum is set to prepare the student to fill the jobs rather than being flexible enough to address each era's problems.

If you are wondering why the theory of our universe being consists of the 4 elements has been relegated to obscurity, from my experience in schools is that it is considered an archaic way of dividing elements and we have found out better ways to do it. From what I can remember from my chemistry class is that this theory was covered in less than a chapter with the attitude that the modern science has discovered electrons and protons and etc, forming different molecules which explain the periodic table and so on and so forth. Basically modern specification for modern measurement in science. So it is not water; it is H2O. It is not Air; it is nitrogen and oxygen and so on.

At the same time, we fail to recognize these specifications and measurements strips concept from its multifaceted meaning to a singular form. I suppose we looked at this old categorization literally and missed its other layer of meanings.

So basically we have mistaken the moon with the tip of our finger that points toward it.

The truth is our abundant knowledge hasn't been translated into wisdom. Although some sages live amongst us and practice the principles, some of us are so preoccupied with working so we can feed ourselves and have a roof over our head that we don't have a time or luxury of thinking about anything but to gather the strength to wake up and do it all over again tomorrow. and God forbid if a sickness comes to a man and that man can't work for a while, then truly his livelihood and his family's is in jeopardy hence this unhealthy obsession with " The philosopher's stone".
