I remember learning about "the doers" in history class. These were highly motivated people who chose to make a stand, start a movement, start a democracy, stop an injustice, or speak out. I was most impressed with their bravery, bravado, eloquence or perseverance. Because doers do. They don't wait around for someone else to do something first. They lead, and others choose to follow them, partly because they like the ideas, but also because they like the doer.

Doers are sometimes patient, waiting for opportunities, but then when the time is right they act, fearlessly, sometimes recklessly, but insistently, because they know their cause is necessary, whether or not they live to see it fulfilled.

Even if the doers die in the effort, those who finished what they started remember them fondly. They build monuments, create statues or paintings, make flags or emblems, or write books about them. Their names and deeds are recorded, good or bad, they are remembered, because they did something significant that altered the way future generations carry on. They left their mark to be sure.

For those who seek to destroy the achievements and beliefs of a people, the first things they destroy are their memories of past doers, in order to prevent future doers from gaining inspiration from them. By doing this, in a generation or two, those doers of the past lose their potency to influence by their examples.

Those who seek to destroy the will of the people in order to make them feel powerless and incapable are now inciting protestors to knock down, deface, burn and destroy remembrances honoring the doers who forged this nation. These were not perfect people, but they did extraordinary things because they had the will to get up off the bed, open the door and do things worth remembering. And now, people from history that all of us now remember are being lost to our future generations, possibly forever, because of this destruction.

History is being rendered PC by the cancel culture cult. Instead of burning books, they're removing them from library acceptable lists. Statues are torn down or repurposed in places no longer seen by the public. Streets and public places are renamed. Heroes are no longer celebrated, or they're all lumped together and offered as a flex holiday and/or personal day, or not mentioned at all.

The emptiness in these places will not be filled by doers, thinkers, achievers, or believers. The testaments to their glory, the honor for their sacrifice, the pride in their achievements is no more.

Once you remove the symbols of a nation, it too begins to fray, like the threads of a worn out flag nobody respects anymore. And then, hope is lost, because who is willing to lead and do now? When the elders are gone, their descendents forget how. And humanity is influenced away from growing beyond their current status. They are content to roll over and go back to sleep because whoever heard of doers anyway? Why bother anymore.

And then, we lose without even firing a shot, because we are easily conquered through the infiltration of influencers who only want sheep to work hard for little wages and not do anything about it.

Or we can stop being led to our doom by these interlopers. This is happening right now. It is a coordinated effort to take away our heroes from us. Maybe some need to be reviewed, but not by mobs influenced by paid thugs. And we're not stopping it. We're just letting them go.
