Hey, Senators, we already know, and we haven't panicked.
BE HONEST FOR ONCE!
TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT ALIENS!

If anything since learning the truth I've been more bemused than anything...

Yes! I have been full of awe and wonder like a child because of space, science, and the possibility of life 'out there'. It made me feel so small and humbled. I felt like a citizen of the universe and a steward to the earth.

Yay!! With all the people that did space travel or met aliens that are getting close to death now, they are starting to let information out because they can't take the information to the grave. I have a friend whose dad worked with several races of aliens in Antarctica in an underground base and I didn't believe them at first (I wanted to). But he was dead serious (puns!) and told them everything on his death bed.
I recommend the documentary 'Unacknowledged' to any of my friends new to UFOs and Aliens. Its on Netflix and it is AMAZING-- lots of military, pilots, astronauts sharing what they never could before. Buzz Aldrin, dark side of the moon base-- it has convinced a few friends (actually all of them that I shared the doc with) and they seem to be more excited and hopeful than scared.
We want to meet our neighbors :)

I hope to someday beforre I kick the bucket, be able to actually meet another being in person. I have dreamed of this since I was little.

I only recently came to aliens as an area of interest. A few years ago one of my friends in grad school that studied black holes told me he believed in reptilians. I had no idea what he was talking about. And he was very serious. So I began my search for the truth, then. :)
anything in particular happen to you that made you to want to meet aliens?
When I was little, I had this dream where I was in my bed(there's a window right by the bed.) I saw a silver, cone shaped craft. I remember what happened after that was, me being taken in by very healthy, tall looking humans(?) And being shown a bunch of schematics diagrams, things that I should learn aboit etc. They put me on my bed and smiled and ...what was strange is that I woke up in the exact same position they put me in. Ever since this 'dream' I've always had a fascination with them. When I tell people about this irl they think I'm full of crap. I meditate often, I try to lucid dream, nothing works though. That's why I want to try DMT. Sorry for going on a ramble lol
No need to apologize. Do you think it was a real dream or do you think it was a memory that they made a dream?
I think because of childhood traumatic experiences where I 'jumped out of my body' and watched everything happen from a distance (as did my mother and her mother.. we have a maternal line of resilient women that experienced trauma early in their life), I have maybe developed a sort of sensitivity I think to DMT. I also saw that if I held my eyes still long enough I could see things start moving in my peripheral in strange ways-- I was four when I noticed that. But I didn't know what it was. It reminds me now of what an mild acid trip kind of looks like.
I am making a DMT extraction today. If you really want to try it, it is not a difficult process.
I believe that it was an actual experience.

Out of curiosity... Was it the Kayeen that were going out there for the past decade and probing "if aliens were discovered, would it destroy your religions?" People were beating that question to death as if hoping it were the case.
[–] garbotalk 2 points 2019-06-22
It's more likely our government. They appear to be doing a slow release, to avoid panic, after determining that it won't destroy faith to find out about aliens.
[–] emperorbma 2 points 2019-06-22
I always found that question so odd. Why would they think disclosure destroy our faith in God? I guess if they're judging by the Kayeen it might make sense... but who cares what these godless "Vulcans" believe? Faith in God is our personal communion with the Being that forms the fabric of reality itself and the One in whom He revealed Himself to all of us...
They're worried about fundamentalists who believe we are God's only intelligent creations, plus angels and demons. It will be a great shock to them to accept that we are not the apex of creation.
Just because we are in God's image doesn't mean others are not who have scales, or feathers, or barbs. God's imagination is great. In the beginning, God created THE HEAVENS, then the Earth. That means we are relative newcomers. The heavens aren't devoid of life, nor only filled with non-corporeal spirit beings as many fundamentalists believe. Life is everywhere!
I never really saw the issue with God creating beings "in His Image" on other worlds.
I guess my gradual disaffection with Young Earth Creation by realizing it was inconsistent and unnecessary as to bind as a doctrine might have helped me avoid that problem. My denomination is very opposed to things like "historical critical" methodology (there was literally a schism in the 1960s on that issue...) and the like preferring a "historical grammatical" method. At a point I really began to see that one bleeds into the other if done correctly and the difference is the emphasis. Thus I tip the hat to the historical grammatical but I borrow methods from HC when appropriate.
By the way, here's a word study I've been thinking about. If we want to be precise... the Hebrew literally says tzelem elohim. It's traditionally seen as a pluralis maiestatis (plural of majesty) for the Image of the [One] God by Christian and Jewish theologians. But the words also mean "a tablet proclaiming the elohim." "elohim" is just a plural of "el" - a general Semitic term for a god.
I think this passage itself is a key to our breaking out of the paradigm. I think the original meaning given by the Kayeen underneath this passage which was grandfathered into the Torah by Moses was probably something like "as a proclamation/product of those who communicate in real time..." The "ael" being the beings that communicate in real time. The "proclamation" being the declaration of us as mere product.
God doesn't really like that. He's working to rise us above the bound status and make us full fledged "ael" like those who've been mucking in our genetics. Thus Abraham=>Moses=>[Judea]=>Jesus...

God in turn restoring the beauty back to his work, slowly, like a landslide.
Utterly unstoppable, even with the best of fences.

'And the Lord God said, "The man has now become like one of us knowing good and evil He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." ' Genesis 3:22
Is it possible the us is referring to other beings created in God's image? I think that He might be referring to alien races created before humans.
Those words sound like they come from a jealous alien, not god.
Living forever, what does that mean? I wonder.
It seems pretty obvious to me that this was the Kayeen's actions being misunderstood as the action of God. It's really indispensable theology now if it's understood correctly but that's only because we've had a few centuries with Jesus's revisions and corrections to develop it into a concept of Original Sin.
This passage, along with Deuteronomy 6:4, is one of those unfortunate reasons the Gnostics thought YHWH was the cosmic Demiurge pretending to be the Supreme Being. The Gnostic Demiurge is sort of like a "devil" figure combined into an inferior "creator" that creates the material universe as a trap to keep souls to be enslaved to him to serve his ego. The Gnostics, unfortunately, applied this idea to YHWH and assumed this jealousy is because we became sapient beings that are aware of logic which eventually can reconnect us to the higher goddess Sophia who works with Jesus to liberate us from the trap.
As Christians we understand this a bit differently. The surface level of this is taken as a lesson to remind us our alienation from God due to imperfect natures and the tendency to elevate imperfect desires to a pedestal of absolute truth which generates a hereditary condition of Original Sin that necessitates God's mercy to reconcile us to Himself. This encourages us to repent of errors and act with humility when approaching God and ultimately culminates in His Son taking that burden upon Himself to save us from sin via the promise given and to free us to embrace the Almighty Father's love.
I suspect, if I read this in terms of RD's statements, there's some more buried in this whole thing. The first chapter is a summary of the creation presented in terms of the workman's week. Young Earth Creationists stupidly interpret this as a literal timeframe rather than a figurative comparison. This was probably a holdover from what the pre-flood workmen were taught about time and creation by the Kayeen engineers.
In the literal sense, I suspect these words in Genesis 3:22 were just from the Kayeen leaders. Probably after the human slaves broke containment at some point and rediscovered independent thought. These humans probably saw it as Paradise crumbing. The Kayeen's concern was obviously cleaning up the mess.
Cain represented the "industrial" societies that had been established in service to the Kayeen. Abel represented those who had gone "off grid" to avoid their Kayeen masters. These societies led by the "Nephilim" were really the supersolider hybrids that served as Kayeen generals. The Flood was, of course, RD's people delivering the huge FU to the Kayeen in the form of the Younger Dryas comet. This also spawned the Sumerian legends about Enki and Enlil contesting over humanity.
I think this first part indicates that early people had a hard time distinguishing the Supreme Being from the advanced races. That whole "plural of majesty" for God existed because they weren't sure if God was one or many. Over time a Supreme Being concept started to evolve out of observing the "ael." This is evidenced by the Semitic choice of El as the Supreme God before the term YHWH/Ehyeh filled this title. Abraham probably was the first to really reject the Hindu paradigm of seeing all gods as emanations and focus on a single God to represent reality itself. I presume the Naigaje built upon this idea and later corrected Moses/Akhenaten during the exile from Egypt with the name of God as they worshiped Him. The later YHWH-ist redactors injected His Name into that passage to retrofit it into a monolatrist tradition. Of course, they weren't pure monotheists but saw YHWH having a consort in Asherah. Eventually this was recodified into a harder form of monotheism through Deuteronomy 6:4 during the reforms of Hezekiah. Thus before and during the Babylonian Exile the beginnings of Judaism as we now know it really occurred.

Mark 2:27-28 27, Then Jesus declared, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. Therefore, the Son of Man is Lord, even of the Sabbath.”
I wonder if we’ll ever cast off these spiritual scars.

Fascinating thread on this subject.
In China people are open to the idea of aliens.
