Those who frequent here would do well to listen to their “dragons.”

I hoped we had more time.
It has begun.

Brace yourselves.

I think we have more time. The source of this news is telling
The balance of power hasn't shifted so far to the East yet for the House of Saud to benefit from such a move
Nor has the dollar lost such favor with bankers and businessmen that other currencies are increasingly preferred
The U.S. will already be on it's knees when they drop this guillotine
Otherwise it might not strike it's target

Because if we lose the Petro-dollar due to threatening OPEC, our economy will be devastated. Petro-euro or Petro-yuan would happily take over becoming the world currency while inflation returned to our shores. RD has been warning about this for years. We should listen.
[–] Cosmickev1086 1 points 2019-04-05
That's a BIG "if", I cannot see our leaders allowing the US to fall this way. I know much of our economy depends upon illegal dealings (Cartels) to keep it afloat. Although I'm ready for a complete breakdown of society, not all are.
[–] exicleus 1 points 2019-04-05
I do not think RD even knows how the petro-dollar with CIA/DOE and economic grab for power started.
When that started that was when the electoral voting system started getting rigged.
Corporations and monopolies seeped into US systems at such uncontrollable rates.
Teddy Roosevelt is rolling in his grave non-stop. Resting ass up.
The real truth.
Your vote matters and it does not. Depending on where you are it will be burned, erased, misplaced or changed on purpose. It has been that way for decades.
You can thank the petro-dollar and sauds for that.
Lets not even talk about what happened in Vegas in 2017. I could probably find some blood somewhere still when I visit there.
If we never had the petro-dollar Arlington would have a lot less graves. Just so you can get your meager under $3 a gallon fillup. And most Americans do not give a shit about that sort of thing.
At least the gas was cheaper to fly their bodies home under that flag.
Perhaps I should put up a ribbon or faces and names of warriors at gas pumps to help remember those that were forgotten. To remind those customers for what they have and how they got it.
We crutched ourselves and now the crutch is going to be kicked.
Good.
RD, why don't you tell them that China wants the Petro because US is no longer fit to be Ael'Kayeen agenda and rule? If US holds it to the dollar the Kayeen will have a hard time winning.
But there is a cost. US will continue to suffer for it like a drug addict. As it always has. And it will get worse.
I have no problems holding your ass and tail to that fire of truth if no one else will.
And you know I and not going to kiss your talons either because of a 'I told you so.'
[–] garbotalk 2 points 2019-04-05
RD knows. Trust me. He's been on about it for almost 3 years now.
The U.S. was mired with incredible inflation that destabilized our nation. I remember it. It was bad. The French sent a war ship to New York harbor to collect gold for dollars at the $35 exchange rate set by the Bretton Woods accords after WWII like other Europeans had done previously, like Switzerland. Nixon took us off the gold standard that very day, sending the French packing and saving our currency. Gold lept to $400 after that, it's TRUE worth. Thus began our fiat currency.
Kissinger wouldn't have even gone over to visit the Saudis to propose a petro-dollar had it not been for RD and his allies suggesting it. It saved our economy for a few decades, was a curb to inflation and granted us time to come up with an alternative. But we never did.
We must swallow our pride and quit saber rattling to those who have us by the balls, OPEC. We must instead come up with an alternative currency, backed by something else, and move ourselves over to it rather than wait for the rug to be pulled out from under us by OPEC on a whim. The Petro-dollar was never meant to be a permanent solution, but a temporary fix.
When the Saudis betray us, our supposed allies in NATO who we have defended and spent trillions on will welcome them with open arms without hesitation. They've been hoping for a Petro-euro for some time now.
And China has also been winning and dining them, in hopes of a Petro-yuan. All this attention from our rivals has gone to OPEC's head, I grant you. Nevertheless, the Consortium wants to remove power from the U.S., and they will make it so, if not sooner, than later.
The petro-dollar became a permanent problem. An economic and national cancer.
For who is going to want to spark a new currency when life is too good? The greedy?
You would be better off showing Europe and China the devil's contract for how much blood they will have to pay to have it. Because if they only knew how much death their own people will be required to have such a thing they may run for the hills and let US keep it. And death comes in many forms. One such as the cultural youth and good life of the US.
That is one form of death that China can look forward to having.
[–] reptiliandude Reptilian 2 points 2019-04-05
Did you just insinuate that I didn’t know how the petro-dollar got started?
😂
And here I thought you actually read this subreddit.
[–] exicleus 2 points 2019-04-05
It was an avenue for you to claim for not knowing.
Because you really do know but you would not tell us the full truth of how it has hurt everyone to the point of creating such toxic dependency and addiction.
That kind of crutch and power comes with dire consequences. That freedom that US loves so much. You can not have such a thing when it is sold out to other interests. You have to pay for it with US blood to protect that kind of thing now.
Despite the fallout, US would become more free without such a wounding shackle. Your gender confused and sensitive youth get to learn the lessons they so desperately need. Or they will die off. Scold at me and point the finger for saying the Band-Aid has to come off.
Instead, China gets to wear it and bleed out in a new way it has not known. China should look at our past in the last few decades. That is what your future will become.
Rus and Qi, nor their advisors and investors, do not know of the death that they will bring to their own kind.

It's JFK's Sword of Damocles again!
And this time the hair that sword is hung by is dyed blond and not exactly "real"...
Support for NOPEC appears bipartisan for now, so the only thing preventing possible decimation of the dollar is it's blustery spokesperson in the White House
Trump has spoken publicly against OPEC in the past, and his staff has denounced cartels such as OPEC for price manipulation, but who knows how he'll go on this
[–] emperorbma 1 points 2019-04-07
Is that why there is now a new gold depository in Texas? There is a coming Fedexit (leaving the Federal Reserve), I think. Also the huge gold find in California starting in 2014 (same area as the “wildfires” were last year; probably not a coincidence) that might herald a return to the Gold standard being Trump’s real answer.
[–] LucePrima 1 points 2019-04-07
The vault will be operated by Lone Star Tangible Assets and overseen by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts
The legislation that created the depository was written by Texas State Rep. Giovanni Capriglione, a Fort Worth Republican, in 2015. The bill explicitly states that Texas will have "first rights" to all gold held in said vaults
I don't think Trump has any master plan to avoid a dollar crash. His tax breaks have further run up the deficit, and disbanding the Fed would cause a loss in investor confidence and a corresponding exodus to safer currencies
But Texas certainly has some ideas about how to keep itself going during the long dark
Thanks for sharing this

Sure. Herman Cain and Stephen Moore have both publicly backed a gold standard, and they've both been floated by Trump to head the Fed
And while Trump's rhetoric often emphasizes fiscal discipline, his actual policy is quite loose. Keeping interest rates low is great for wall street and a weak dollar, but is far from the disciplined policy stance required to return to a gold standard. This is even more true on the debt side, where revenue cuts that increase the deficit takes us further and further away from a gold standard being feasible in the first place
I'm willing to bet that it will take a dollar collapse to move any adminstration towards adopting a gold standard. The appetite simply isn't there. And despite being the 2nd largest gold producer in the world, the United States doesn't even have enough gold to cover it's debts, let alone back a new currency ($318B in gold holdings versus $22T in debt)
But were the dollar to turn to dust, and the resultant hyperinflation render those debts meaningless, the move to a gold or other commodity-backed standard would be much simpler, and likely necessary to resume trade with most nations
[–] emperorbma 1 points 2019-04-08
Hmm. That scenario sounds like a major issue. Hopefully we don’t go that way.
Agreed. It's like ripping a band-aid off an open wound. Nothing good will come of it short term
The only alternative I can think of is to significantly curb public spending whilst increasing tax revenues, in order to reduce the running deficit to near zero, and simultaneously blowing half the federal budget on gold each year, if such a thing is even possible
Which might take a decade or two

Damn...
As I said on Voat:
You really want to go and sell your future to China, Saudis? Check out what they're doing to your brothers in Allah in the Gobi Desert. See all the investment China is doing over in Africa? You know how this ends.

The Consortium is pushing China ahead, to curb our power. The Petro-yuan is coming. Then bond dumping by China and OPEC. Soon.

It's no secret that China reverse engineers everything they touch. That is what they do. More so than their originality in taking a torch. If they got a spotlight would they be able to make something from scratch versus than just tweaking and upgrading?
I also looked at their particle exploratory funzies. It's contracted out through those innovating countries in Europe.
